You can fly into and out of Palma de Mallorca Airport. We spend two nights in Palma as part of the trip.
Day 1 · Palma
We meet in Palma at our first hotel at 2 p.m. After your bike fit, enjoy an optional warm-up ride along the beaches east of town (bike path or road). Palma is a fantastic cosmopolitan city. We’ll have a welcome reception at 7 p.m., followed by dinner.
- Distance: 16 km (80m gain) or 27 km (140m gain) or 54 km (360m gain)
Day 2 · Palma
Explore the southwest of the island today. Ride a loop to Andratx, taking the magnificent road to Banyalbufar, looping back to Palma in the early afternoon for beach relaxation. At 5:30 p.m., enjoy a walking tour, then dine out at a favourite restaurant. Staying a second night in Palma is ideal, with its lively atmosphere and many great eateries.
- Distance: 44 km (650m gain) or 85 km (1,640m gain)
Day 3 · Port de Sóller
Ride on bike lanes from Palma towards Palmanyola, Santa Maria del Camí, and Alaró, home to the famous Cycling Planet café. Climb to Orient for lunch at Dalt Muntanya on their superb terrace. Continue over Col de Sóller, where you might stop at Ca’n Topa Café. Descend to Sóller, then 6 km further to Port de Sóller with its spectacular oceanside setting. Dinner will be at Patiki Beach, a farm-to-table chiringuito.
- Distance: 44 km (600m gain) or 70 km (1,120m gain)
Day 4 · Port de Sóller
Today’s ride takes you on a spectacular route to posh Deià and eclectic Valldemossa, full of cool restaurants and designer shops. We’ll lead you to our favourite for lunch. A short, hilly add-on is available. Return to Port de Sóller in the early afternoon. Tonight is your “On Your Own” dinner; consider taking a historic (circa 1912) train to Sóller or strolling to oceanside restaurants near your hotel in Port de Sóller.
- Distance: 45 km (950m gain) or 50 km (1,120m gain) or 60 km (1,260m gain)
Day 5 · Port de Pollença
Start the day with an invigorating climb to Fornalutx (stop at a bakery). The climb continues up and over Col de Puig Major. Challenge yourself on Sa Calobra for bragging rights! Enjoy a glorious descent to Pollença for lunch, then to Port de Pollença, a beachside village and gateway to Cap Formentor. Dinner will be at one of the many excellent restaurants here.
- Distance: 38 km (325m gain, with shuttle) or 65 km (1,260m gain) or 90 km (2,160m gain)
Day 6 · Port de Pollença
Arguably Mallorca’s most beautiful ride, cycle out to Cap Formentor. For more distance, ride south along the coast to the historic city of Alcudia. It features a Roman amphitheatre, medieval and Renaissance quarters, and a sophisticated tapas scene, all within thick, crenellated walls. The ride back along the Bay of Pollença, passing miles of beaches, is sublime.
- Distance: 22 km (100m gain) or 37 km (980m gain) or 60 km (1,080m gain) or 73 km (1,500m gain)
Day 10 · Depart
Depart from Port de Pollença at your leisure. As most guests often extend their stay or visit other parts of Mallorca, we offer flexible departure times. Taxis to the airport cost approximately 60-70 euros.
